Coordinator, Medical Staff Contract Management

**Job Description**:
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to the Manager, Medical Staff Contract Management, the Coordinator, Medical Staff Contract Management supports the department through development of procedures for Medical Staff contract initiation and renewal, monitoring contract signing and completion; and document reporting and control.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training And Experience**:
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to graduation from a recognized business, health or public administration post secondary program and five (5) years related experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
**Skills And Abilities**:
- Well-developed organizational, communication and numeric skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills appropriate to working with all levels of personnel, government bodies, outside agencies and physicians.
- Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse and fluctuating workload to ensure deadlines are met.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Ability to analyze and define problems, establish facts and identify solutions.
- Proficiency in current personal computer hardware and software technologies.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
