REPORTING

The Machine Operator reports to the Supervisor of Protemp Glass Inc. The working hours are Friday-Sunday 6:30am-7pm OR Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-2:30am.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Operate glass cutting machine in a safe manner; load and unload glass products according to specification.
- Read shop drawings and measure product to ensure proper dimensions and standards.
- Monitor systems to ensure machine performance.
- Daily production testing including fragmentation testing.
- Continuously monitor process for safety, quality, etc.
- Resolve work/machinery problems and request materials and supplies when needed.
- Prepare production and other reports where required.
- Delegate work to production line workers.
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure safety rules and all regulations are followed. Ensure protective gear is worn as required.
- Any other job related and support activity duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Two years related experience and/or training in the aluminum/glass industry or manufacturing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organization skills.
- Strong organization and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.60-$20.95 per hour
