**Water Truck Operator**

**Location**: 9094 Cavanagh Road (Ashton, Ontario)

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Fill the water truck’s tank from an approved water source, which may include hydrants, ponds,
- or water tanks.
- Use the truck’s equipment and controls to safely and efficiently unload water as needed.
- Distribute water to specified locations, such as construction sites for dust control, agricultural
- fields for irrigation, or areas in need of soil compaction for road construction
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the water truck to ensure it is in proper
- working condition
- Report any mechanical issues or defects for timely repairs.
- Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the water tank to prevent contamination.
- Maintain accurate records of water deliveries, including the volume of water transported,
- delivery locations, and customer information
- Complete any required paperwork for regulatory compliance or billing purposes.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for water distribution, considering the location of water sources
- and delivery points
- Minimize travel time and fuel consumption.
- Maintain effective communication with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate
- activities, schedule deliveries, and respond to changing job requirements
- Use two-way radios or mobile communication devices as needed.
- Interact with customers, site personnel, or agricultural workers in a professional and courteous manner.

**Requirements**:

- Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience operating a water truck or similar equipment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle safety, maintenance practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to operate controls and manage water flow safely and efficiently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to identify and report truck issues.
- Physically capable of climbing, lifting, and working in outdoor conditions.
