Host/hostess

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team in providing exceptional guest experiences. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth operations within the restaurant. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and maintaining an efficient flow of seating.

**Responsibilities**
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and walk-in guests efficiently to optimize seating arrangements.
- Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods and communicate wait times clearly to guests.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with inquiries and reservations.
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed, contributing to a positive team environment.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with a passion for helping others enjoy their dining experience.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
