**Job description**

Rising Stars Daycare is seeking to hire a Early Childhood Educator for a full time position. Education and experience is required for this role. This individual will have graduated with an Early Childhood Diploma and / or possess an University degree; be CPR/First Aid trained ( Level C); complete a Social Development and Criminal check and have a valid drivers license. We are looking for a mature, creative, positive minded, flexible, person, who enjoys guiding children in their learning and who has the patience and dedication that it takes working with children.

Required skills for this position includes:

- Being able to plan, carry out, and assess developmentally appropriate activities and experiences in harmony with the center's philosophy and NB Curriculum.
- Being able to work willingly with co-workers in all aspects surrounding the care of the children.
- Ensure guidance of children's behavior that encourages positive self
- concept in a healthy and safe way in the child's environment.
- Being able to have positive communication with parents.
- Experience working with children with behavior issues.

Applicant must have or be willing to get:

- First Aid
- Vulnerable Sector Check & SD check
- Completed or working to complete NB Curriculum certificate
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate is an asset (CPI Certificate)

This position requires education, and experience. Applicant must also work well under pressure; work well in a team and also individually.

Pay: $16.47-$25.35 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
