- **Maintenance Handyman/woman - Part Time**_

**Position Summary**
This position is a key member of Hope Street’s in-house Maintenance Team. They are the boots on the ground. They provide and coordinate resources to mitigate damage, preserve and enhance the rental investment asset.
This is a customer service job first and foremost, so communication skills are just as important as handyman skills. We provide the latest technology to make “paperwork” easy and nearly instant. Our Maintenance Team is 99% paperless.
**Your Day-to-Day**
- Work flexible hours, 20 hours a week with at least one day on the weekend, and two days a week evening hours.
- In and out of multiple properties, (mostly North side of Edmonton and area) and our Edmonton office
- Respond to service requests and complete work orders as quickly, safely, and efficiently as possible;
- Communicate effectively with Hope Street Team, Landlords, Tenants, and external stakeholders;
- Perform the bulk of work when it is within your capacity and skill;
- Coordinate work with trades and specialists when necessary;
- Represent Hope Street to tenants and Landlords in a professional way, consistent with standing policies and direction from management;
- Continuously update our cloud-based management software as work is booked and completed; and
- Build trusting relationships with our clients, tenants, vendors, and staff.
**Skills and Experience**
- Demonstrate excellent Customer Service and Communication Skills
- Self-Motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to Learn, especially iPad, Smartphone, cloud-based software;
- Handyman skills
- general small residential repairs; and
- Residential construction or renovation experience and/or trade preferred.

Maintenance staff can use phone and video calls to diagnose issues, and determine if an in-home visit is required.
