**Overview of Position**
- The Shared Spaces Coordinator is responsible for providing direct service to children / youth, families, and volunteers in the programs of BBBSB following the National Standards and the funders.

**Key Responsibility Areas**
- Service Delivery _
- Actively recruit, enroll, and maintain adult volunteers or mentors to be matched
- Maintain and provide service to volunteer / child / youth matches.
- Complete the closure of volunteer and child / youth files.
- Complete the volunteer, family, and child / youth exit interviews.
- Plan and supervise group activities of volunteers and children / youth as needed in the Youth Hangouts, Tween Takeover, Indigenous Arts Partnership Project, and other group programs.
- Prepare all administrative forms including notes, statistical recordings, and program support
- Ensure data input and the updating of data and other reporting / record keeping is being done in a timely and efficient manner as specified in Standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of all files and information regarding families, volunteers, staff, and Board.
- Orientate and train volunteers as necessary and support committee and volunteer coordinators.
-  Intake children / youth and volunteers, including orientation, interviews, home visits, screening, and regular progress reports.
- Inform families of acceptance or denial of service.
- Program Development _
- Completion of all funding reports as required by the program
- Comply with National standards, contracts, licenses, and applicable legislation and ensure all necessary documentation related to the program / project is in place.
- Partnership Development _
- Make referrals to other organizations and agencies that may provide beneficial services to families.
- Liaison with schools, other youth service agencies, community groups, clubs, participants, volunteers and the public in general. 
- Work with media and other promotional activities, as required. Assist in the development of print materials associated with the program.
- Attend and represent the BBBSB agency and programs as required at meetings and evening functions of related organizations.
- Work as part of the team, with Board, management, committees, volunteers, and staff.
