Direct the daily activities of the editorial department to optimize scheduling, meet customer demands, and maximize utilization of resources
- Resolve tricky situations related to orders, processes, and board management
- Ensure the editorial quality management system and quality-assurance process is consistent, objective, accurate, and fair to both editors and customers
- Coach, train, and evaluate in-house editors
- Drive continuous improvement of the editorial department to boost customer satisfaction
- Select and onboard new editors
- Ensure the scalability and efficiency of all editorial systems via automation and the implementation of new technology, including AI
- Create and maintain comprehensive, effective, and up-to-date documentation and internal resources
- Monitor and derive insight from key KPIs to address gaps or opportunities for improvement

**Qualifications**
- A university degree, ideally in English, journalism, communications, or a related field
- Meaningful experience in editorial departments, with evidence of strong work
- Strong knowledge of editorial processes and best practices
- Keen attention to detail and good organizational and creative problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead people through effective communication
- Enthusiastic about editing and able to take the initiative to continuously improve the department
