- A Day in the Life
- Complete take-offs/estimate for assigned projects
- Follow up on multi-scope or single-scope projects
- Attend pre-bid & post-bid meetings
- Complete work orders & prepare material order sheets
- Maintain directory of product suppliers
- Order various estimating documents (bid bonds, insurance documents, etc.)
- Prepare construction progress schedules
- Negotiate extras for all applicable revisions and prepare necessary documentation
- Coordinate the investigation and resolution of disputes, defects and back charges
- Visit job sites

- Post secondary education in a construction program (ie. Architectural Technology, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, etc)
- Microsoft Excel

- Basics of AutoCAD
