Penticton Toyota is a family-owned dealership that has served Penticton for over 40 years. We pride ourselves in providing the best possible customer service with top-notch repairs and maintenance. We are looking for a dedicated, high-energy individual with a great attitude and mindset for customer service to join our team as a Service Advisor.

The Service Advisor acts as an important front-line position, guiding our customers through their automotive repairs and maintenance. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, the Service Advisor will act as a liaison between the customer and the technician working on the vehicle. It is the Service Advisor's job to carefully listen to the customer to identify their concerns or needs and translate that information to the technician as efficiently as possible. It is also the Service Advisors job to take technical information given by the technician and translate it into understandable terms the customer can relate to pertaining to their vehicle.

**Roles and responsibilities**:

- Perform vehicle walk arounds with clients to identify any other items that our technicians may need to address
- Accurately quote repairs and maintenance ensuring accurate labour times and parts pricing.
- Effectively allocate jobs to technicians by order of priority and skillset to maximize productivity in the shop consistently.
- Ensure customers are updated regularly regarding their vehicle's status in our shop.
- Review maintenance schedules with customers and make recommendations based on their driving habits and service needs.
- Deliver a first class “best in town” experience.
- Communicate with the parts department and appointment coordinators to ensure the day is planned appropriately.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction using problem solving skills to resolve customer issues.
- High level of attention to detail is incredibly important. Writing Service Orders requires a keen focus to ensure all customer, vehicle, and service information are accurate for billing, dispatching and warranty purposes.
- Superior Customer Service skills and a positive attitude is a must. This is not a position that requires a mechanical background or a strong automotive acumen. It requires strong customer service skills, the ability to make people feel comfortable, at ease and confident we are their best choice for their automotive service and repair needs.
- Valid Driver’s license in good standing and clean driver’s abstract required.

**Experience**:

- Customer Service: 3 years (required)
- Service Advisor experience considered an asset.
- Dealership experience considered an asset.
- No prior dealership experience is necessary. We will train the individual with the right attitude and skills to succeed._
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 PM _
