**Position Overview**:
The Intensive Supports Supervisor will provide leadership and clinical oversight to a dedicated team of Mental Health and Addictions Support Workers, CTO Case Managers, and HART Hub staff at Gateway. This role involves ensuring best practices in service delivery, supporting complex case management, and fostering a collaborative team environment. The Clinical Supervisor will oversee program development, quality assurance, risk management, and community collaboration, with a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. **This position specifically focuses on addressing the needs of individuals experiencing mental health, addictions, and chronic homelessness, and provides direct support to front-line staff.**
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Clinical Supervision & Leadership**
- Provide clinical oversight and supervision to Mental Health and Addictions Support Workers of the situation table team, CTO Case Managers, and HART Hub staff attached to Gateway ensuring best practices in service delivery.
- Support staff in complex case management, particularly high-acuity individuals, including those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
- Lead team meetings and case consultations to promote a collaborative and effective team environment.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to ethical guidelines, confidentiality, and professional standards.
- Offer guidance on harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention approaches.
**Program Development & Implementation**
- Oversee and enhance service delivery models to address the needs of individuals experiencing mental health and addiction challenges.
- Develop and refine intervention strategies to support de-escalation and recovery planning for high-risk individuals.
- Ensure services are aligned with best practices, evidence-based approaches, and organizational mission.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to address service gaps and strengthen interdisciplinary care coordination.
- Work collaboratively with partnering teams to ensure team cohesiveness
**Quality Assurance & Documentation**
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and client outcomes, implementing improvements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with documentation requirements, including accurate use of HIFIS, OCAN, and CRMS systems.
- Conduct audits of clinical records to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Provide ongoing training and professional development for staff.
- Provide program reports and KPI data to Managers and Directors as required
**Risk Management & Crisis Intervention**
- Support staff in assessing and mitigating risks related to mental health crises, self-harm, and suicide.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety plans in collaboration with clients and support networks.
- Act as a key resource in emergency situations, offering clinical direction and intervention when necessary.
- Debrief with staff when needed around intensive situations
**Community Collaboration & Advocacy**
- Foster strong relationships with community partners, including housing services, healthcare providers, and law enforcement.
- Advocate for client needs within multidisciplinary teams and community settings.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at improving mental health, addiction services, and housing stability.
**Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)**:
- Ensure an inclusive and culturally competent environment for staff and clients.
- Address systemic barriers affecting marginalized populations, including Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ+, Black, racialized, and newcomer communities.
- Implement strategies that promote equity and accessibility in mental health and addiction services.
**Mission Alignment**:
- Support individuals in Niagara with severe and persistent mental illness, addictions and concurrent disorders.
- Prioritize service provision for those who are chronically homeless or at risk of homelessness.
- Promote recovery, self-sufficiency, and social inclusion for all clients.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
**Education**: Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
**Registration**: Registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSW SSW) or other relevant professional regulatory body.
**Experience**: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mental health, addictions, and crisis intervention, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
