Maintenance Clerk

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The maintenance clerk has an important role supporting the technicians to perform their jobs properly. This role is expected to prevent unnecessary transportation, unnecessary movement, and inappropriate processing.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ordering parts and sourcing new equipment as needed.
- Assisting employees with walk-in service and repairs.
- Conducting uptown runs to pick up necessary items or parts.
- Completing tool requests.
- Managing upkeep including parts, assets, work orders, preventative maintenance triggers, meters, and equipment expenses.
- Tracking and overseeing warranties on tools and machines.
- Booking appointments and scheduling annual contractor inspections.
- Following up and filing monthly inspection sheets.
- Overseeing the recycling and proper disposal of batteries, chemical waste barrels, printer cartridges, and scrap materials.
- Providing service to customers, addressing their needs and inquiries promptly.
- Organizing and maintaining tool storage and inventory.
- Selling and cleaning up obsolete tools and equipment.
- Cleaning up parts and shipments delivered to maintenance on pallets.

**Qualifications**:

- Have the legal right to work in Canada.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus. Previous experience in mechanics is advantageous.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the manufacturing for extended periods.

**Working Conditions**:

- On-Site, Monday - Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
- This is a term position with a duration of 12 months.
- The facility operates within safety standards, but there may be odors and noise associated with manufacturing processes.
- Work environment includes office, production, and outdoor settings.
