**The Opportunity**:
The Fleet and Equipment Assistant is responsible for assisting with the daily management and tracking of the vehicle fleet, comprised of light duty trucks, cars and SUV’s, along with mobile testing labs. In addition, the Fleet and Equipment Assistant will help to coordinate the supply of all equipment and survey consumables for Western Canada operations. They will assist with the inventory, maintenance and tracking of all survey equipment and materials testing equipment.
The Assistant reports to the Regional Fleet and Equipment Manager in matters of major decisions, problems and policy procedures.

**A day in the life**:
- Complete updates to the fleet management database and the equipment tracking database as they occur in a timely manner.
- Assist drivers to coordinate maintenance and repair appointments. Shuttle vehicles if necessary.
- Coordinate repair/purchase of all lab and field testing equipment. Coordinate and track lab locations.
- Inventory and order of all survey and testing consumables, and fleet supplies.
**What you'll bring to WSP...**
- Mechanical aptitude and vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Possess a class 5 license and maintain a clean driving abstract
- Understand and support the concept of defensive driving, accident management and appropriate health and safety policies.
- Must be comfortable working with computers and databases
- Familiarity with aspects of road construction and its related testing equipment is preferred but not necessary
- Strong organizational skills, both computerized and manual
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work independently and efficiently
