**Equipment Operator**
- ________________________________________

Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Equipment Operator is responsible for operating and basic maintenance of equipment while on the job site, unloading and loading trailers, moving equipment and materials around site and assisting with other duties, all while following all policies, procedures and legislation required to operate the equipment safely.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate a variety of equipment (primarily skid steer, telehandler, and PD10)
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
- Inspect equipment on a regular basis, pre and post operating
- Communicate any unsafe conditions or wear and/or damage of equipment to supervisor to facilitate corrective action
- Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable provincial and federal regulations
- Loading, unloading, and distributing materials around site
- Assisting with general labour duties on site as required
- **Committed to safe work practices in accordance with miEnergy Safety procedures and policies**

- Required: Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable method of transportation
- Previous hands-on experience in the solar / construction industry is preferred but not required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience operating equipment with in-depth knowledge of:

- stability, capacity rating, pre-operational inspection, start-up/shut-down, travelling with and without a load, load handling, ramps & grades, workplace specific hazards, pedestrians, refueling & recharging.
- Valid certification in operating Skid Steer, telehandler and PD10
- Must have CSA approved steel toed boots and hard hat
- CSTS or SCOT & WHIMIS certification required
