**What responsibilities will you have in this role?**
- Designs, develops, and coordinates the implementation of a range of innovative and responsive programs and services for international students in making academic, personal-social, and environmental adjustment to campus and local community.
- Ensures that programs are designed to balance the effective representation of international student interests, with the interests and policies of the College.
- Coordinates mentoring/volunteer program for international-to-international and/or domestic to international students and develops other innovative programs to link international to international and domestic students.
- In collaboration with the International Integration Officer, coordinates the logistics for International Smart Start Event, orientation, immigration workshops, and all international student event programming.
- As licensed Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA) or Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), the incumbent provides students with information on their study permits, work permits and temporary resident status.
- Provide one-on-one personal guidance, or group information sessions, for international students on immigration-related topics (i.e. study permit, re-entry requirements, co-op work permits and post-graduation work permit as they relate to Canadian Immigration laws).
- Maintain a through, up -to -date knowledge of immigration.
- Provides international students with accurate and timely assistance.
- Identifies issues which may require escalation to the appropriate staff member/department.
- Accurately refers students to internal and external services and supports and bridges gap for students accessing these services.
- Collaborates with the College’s Awards Team to process international student scholarships.
- Other duties as assigned.

**What qualifications do you need for this role?**
- Three year diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Business or Office Administration, Event Management, Youth Worker, Education, and/or equivalent experience or educational background.
- Minimum two years office experience in providing high level customer service to a diverse clientele in a service/educational setting. Experience working with international students would be considered an important asset.
- Minimum two years’ experience developing student specific programming and coordinating all logístical aspects.
- Licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) or Registered International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA) required.
- Proficiency in Banner is an asset.
- Superior customer service, communication, and presentation skills.
- Intermediate skill level on Microsoft Office; excellent knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and relational databases.
- Fluent in written and oral English is required and proficiency in a second language of one of our major international student groups is considered an asset.
- Exceptional problem solving skills; ability to troubleshoot and resolve conflict exercising tact, discretion and sound judgment; ability to prioritize.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to cope under pressure associated with the management of numerous high volume tasks in a busy service environment; high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to work in an environment where diversity of people and situations are encountered.
