**Additional Information**:This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Intrawest. The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International.

The incumbent will create as needed and manage preventative and reactive maintenance to maintain the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment in accordance with Rental Management Agreement, Property Management Contractual Agreement and Westin brand programs.

The incumbent leads a team of associates delivering upon the branded service promise while ensuring the upkeep of an attractive well-maintained facility with fiscal responsibility to the Condominium Corporation and Hotel Manager. The incumbent communicates and interacts frequently with colleagues on property, Blue Mountain Resort Maintenance, strategic partners, resort guests, Board of Directors of Grey Standard Condominium Corporation and homeowners in a way that is consistent with building partnerships, nurturing relationships and creating strong returns for each stakeholder.

**WHAT WILL I BE DOING**
- Work effectively in the role of a leader, respecting the WTH’s standards, values, policies while meeting their departmental objectives and their team’s needs; direct and plan the work of others, providing feedback, coaching and support to all individuals
- Department oversight and input to hotel maintenance operating budget, Grey Standard Condominium Corporation 65 budget, Grey Standard Condominium Corporation 65 Reserve Fund budget and Unit Reserve fund budget
- Conduct walk-throughs and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structure(s) of the hotel, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment.
- Verify completion of all routine maintenance on public spaces, meeting rooms, ballrooms, outlets, back of the house spaces, and grounds. Verify completion of all repairs, replacement, and renovation projects to offices and employee work areas.
- Coaches, counsels, provides performance management and progressive corrective action for all Maintenance associates.
- Directs and oversees external contractors
- Adhere to all corporate-required purchasing policies and controls, including, but not limited to, all outside contractor bids, budgets, and schedules.
- Follow prescribed health & safety procedures as required by the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Maintain effective Energy Management and Preventive Maintenance programs and conduct special training for other operating departments on the safe and efficient use of equipment and energy in the hotel.
- Inform the General Manager and hotel department heads on a regular basis regarding the specific and overall condition of the building structure(s), related systems, and equipment offering prudent, cost effective proposals for maintaining these systems. Access and input information into a computer and generate reports.
