**Summary**

**Your role as a Database Administrator**
Bring to WorkJam your experience with site reliability and incident management. Work with teams to improve education, diagnose issues, and perform root-cause analysis. You are an engineer, and need to have experience with distributed services, on-call support, and working with teams.

**Long Description**

**What you will be doing**:

- Administer, provision, and monitor all databases across multiple data centers
- Provide first-line database support and updates
- Performance tuning of queries, configuration, and data architecture
- Provide dashboards, reports, and monitoring to improve insight and recommended actions.
- Review and maintain documentation related to database design, configuration, and change management.
- Design and improve processes with regards to database development.
- Technologies include: Datastax Cassandra, Postgresql, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Kubernetes

- You are a self-directed individual
- A commitment to solving problems
- Demonstrate relevant technical expertise with Cassandra and/or Postgresql
- Leverage 5+ years of experience with database administration, architecture, and design
- Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL concepts
- Experience troubleshooting database-related issues
- Experience with observability, monitoring, alerting, and on-call
- Experience working with containers, operating systems and cloud providers

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
