**Position Title**

Purchasing Manager

**Position Summary**

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for leading IBC’s supply planning, vendor management, cost reduction and logistics management programs.

Location: Burnaby, BC

**Essential Functions**
- Provide coaching and leadership to the Purchasing Team.
- Plan and budget parts requirements for seasonal products, new product introduction, and component transition.
- Manage the production MRP (material requirement planning) review process and collaborate with suppliers on shipment quantity.
- Manage supplier relations, source suppliers and parts and negotiate rates with new suppliers.
- Maintain negotiated contracts and manage inventory accuracy, levels and turns, to ensure budgeted service levels and financial targets are met.
- Manage non-conformance claims and conduct annual supplier reviews.
- Lead IBC’s waste reduction, alternative parts and alternative suppliers initiatives.
- Manage the inbound shipping schedule and loss claims.
- Continuously improve purchasing strategies and processes.
- Lead the Purchasing Team in inventory, receiving, and invoice reconciliation efforts.

**Qualifications**

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field is required.

Work Experience:

- Prior experience as a purchasing lead or a senior purchaser is required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

- Deep practical knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
- Working proficiency with Oracle is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
