While travel industry experience, particularly handling Tours or Travel planning and operations, will be a definite asset, we are looking for a person with a demonstrated passion for travel. You will be working with people who have recently travelled across fantastic destinations where we operate in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. **Group Tour Operations Consultants** are responsible for planning, budgeting, booking, and following through with the steps required to operate Group Travel packages successfully. **About you**: - You have a **strong understanding **of travel destinations in Canada. - You have previous experience in the Travel Industry. - You have experience in tour or event planning and delivery within the travel or other industries. - You are a travel enthusiast. - You exude boundless energy and a robust work ethic, thriving in fast-paced work environments. - You can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. - You can work stress-free in a fast-paced environment with multi-tasking skills. - You are enthusiastic and friendly, have a great attitude, and are willing to learn and grow in an excellent company. - You possess strong organizational skills and great attention to detail. The ability to work in an environment where task completion and goal achievement are valued over rigid structures is necessary. - You can work in friendly collaboration with management, work colleagues, and suppliers, and experience handling some or all of the tasks outlined in the job description above is mandatory. - You know MS Word and Excel. - You can manage different travel industry systems. - You have complete fluency in the English language (both spoken and written). **RESPONSIBILITIES** - Write and revise tour itineraries. - Oversee operations of group tours while meeting critical deadlines. - Work with vendors and suppliers to maintain relationships, send booking requirements, negotiate rates when required, and maintain service standards. - Ensure end-of-tour accounts are completed and reconciled. - Receive, check, and approve Supplier accounts and Payments. - Speak to potential clients, discuss available tour options for escorted tours, and be able to send a quote and make a booking. - Managing your inventory across multiple platforms. - Create and edit invoices using an in-house online system. - Ensure websites are updated as needed with new tours, new rates, and updated inclusions. - Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and contacts. - Keep our internal travel systems up to date. - In addition, the person will be responsible for routine and minor Office Administration tasks. **REQUIREMENTS** - Calgary-based person.
