**Job Description** Mission**

This position will have room for career development and advancement including project and team management.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Assist the team and clients to scope assignments and write proposals.
- Conduct field inventories for birds, reptiles and flora.
- Participate in the drafting of impact evaluation reports, ecological studies, and environmental specifications, as well as other technical reports.
- Analyse alternatives and assess and rank their potential to impact natural heritage features.
- Develop site appropriate avoidance and mitigation measures.
- Complete requests for authorizations and permits under the _Endangered Species _Act, or _Species at Risk _Act, for both small and large-scale projects in various types of environments.
- Work with clients to find practical solutions that minimizes impacts to the natural environment.

**Qualifications**
- Degree in Environmental Sciences with strong Ecology focus.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience with a focus on the terrestrial environment.
- Experience must demonstrate terrestrial expertise in study design, data collection, avian acoustical surveys, flora inventories, natural environment assessments, mitigation, and /or monitoring.
- Strong understanding of relevant municipal, provincial and federal legislations, and policies.
- Team player and ability to work with a diverse team across the entire province.
