**Student Summer Camp Leader**
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Summer Camp Leader to join our team at Firm Foundation. As a Camp Leader at Firm, you will be responsible for implementing engaging activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of campers, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, enthusiasm, and the ability to connect with children of various ages.
**Responsibilities**
- Implement daily camp activities planned by lead staff.
- Supervise campers to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster a positive atmosphere by encouraging engagement, inclusion, and participation.
- Provide guidance and support to campers in both individual and group settings.
- Monitor camper behavior and assist in conflict resolution when necessary.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with other leaders and staff members.
- Ensure all areas (including bathrooms) are clean and properly maintained throughout the day.
**Requirements**:
- Must be a post-secondary student. Must provide proof of Fall 2025 enrolment.
- Individuals 18+ must provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- CPR and First Aid training certificate is required prior to commencing employment.
**Experience & Skills**
- Previous experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills, and an energetic attitude are a must.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also taking initiative when necessary.
**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months
Pay: $16.20-$17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Work Location: In person
Expected start date: 2025-06-30
