Concierge/security Guards Needed in Oshawa

Oshawa, Canada ASG Security Group Ltd. Full time

Concierge acts as the first point of contact to all patrons in both residential and commercial settings. Concierges are responsible for answering inquiries, assisting with building amenities and greeting all of those who enter the facility in a professional manner.

**The Shifts Available**:

- **Monday to Friday 12:00am - 6:00am**:

- **Saturday & Sunday 6:00am - 6:00pm**:

- **Saturday & Sunday 6:00pm - 6:00am**

**Positions start July 5th**

**KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Must have a valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Must have a valid First Aid, CPR Certificate
- Must have 2 years of Concierge experience
- Must have exceptional interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
- Must have knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Must have knowledge of the Criminal Code
- Must have knowledge of the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, PSIS Act, 2005
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to effectively follow and give directions
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To enforce the company policies and procedures.
- Inspect the log of entry and exit of personnel, materials, vehicles and at the commencement of his duty and at the end of his duty (where applicable).
- Proficiently operate the security surveillance equipment at assigned site.
- Maintain the security post at a satisfactory level of operation, including parcel control, key control, and parking control.
- Assist with updating the post orders and SOPs as assigned by the Account Manager.
- Able to write Incident Reports in case of an incident, and also review all Incident Reports.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Answer phone calls and inquires accordingly.
- Demonstrates a high degree of customer service through the course of all duties.
- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned by Client Service Manager or ASG Security Group Manager.
