Job Description:
- We are hiring two Pipefitter Foreperson to join our team and help us implement our shop and site operations for a tie in project on a client site in Dawson Creek. The Shop foreperson will be assisting with Hydro Test and Spool Movement in our shop in Fort St. John. The Site Foreperson will be helping read P & ID drawings and oversee Pipefitting operations on a client site. You will help distinguish our company with professionalism, best practices and deliverables.
**What would you be doing?**
- You have studied blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and tools to use, and lay out the sequence of tasks
- Must be able to measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal, plastic and fiberglass pipes, valves, and fittings.
- Join pipe sections, related equipment and secure in position.
- Hydro Testing and Spool Movement.
- Read P & ID Drawings.
- You have used testing equipment to check systems for leaks.
- Perform other duties as required.
**Does this sound like you?**
- Journeyperson Pipefitter Certificate would be considered an Asset.
- 2+ years Foreman experience with Field construction or Shop Experience preferred.
- You have physical strength, stamina and the use of proper lifting techniques desired to guide heavy materials and stationary position for long periods.
- You are adaptable and can work in a team environment.
- You have the ability to do careful and exact work.
- Ability to read and understand complex instructions.
- Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, WHMIS, CSO, Fall Protection, AWP
**Perks of the job**
- Employee Pay Rate $45/hr plus stat and vac pay. Direct Service Provider (DSP) rate $54.13/hr and truck rate options available.
- Shifts are various based on client needs.
- Home every night as the shop work is done in Fort St. John and site work will be in Dawson Creek area.
**Other important details**
This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
