About the Role:
- Reporting to the Operations Manager, Projects, the Operations & Safety Coordinator supports the Operations Manager and PM/Estimating team in the Projects area of the business. The Coordinator is responsible for administrative support, project coordination, document management, and the overarching tracking, reporting, and communication of health and safety standards of both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:
**Project Support**
- Assist PM/Estimator and Foremen as a central contact for project related information and support;
- Identify, develop, train, implement and provide administrative support for new and existing procedures;
- Regular and vacation coverage for Dispatch as needed;
- Assist with creating project schedules with due dates for manpower, materials, equipment;
- Enter daily reported site hours into SSO and update applicable reports;
- Ensure any customer special requests are communicated and adhered to (site specific, safety, PPE);
- Develop and manage access to SOPs;
- Communicate with customers as needed;
**Safety & Training**
- Act as a Co-Chair for the Safety Committee
- Develop and distribute Safety Talk documentation and Toolbox Talk templates.
- Schedule, track, and maintain safety training records;
- Create defined risk assessments process of non-hazard vs hazard events, risk matrix, and mitigation chart;
- Maintain reporting requirements (WCB, Internal) and awareness of changing rules and regulations;
- Partner with HR to deliver a world class Safety onboarding module;
What you Bring:
**Our Must Haves**
- Minimum 2 year's of administrative experience in similar capacity;
- Post secondary courses in Project Management, Operations or Health and Safety is considered an asset;
- Committed to customer service and going the extra mile while servicing client;
- Ability to think on your feet and utilize strong problem-solving capabilities;
- Experience working project management will be considered an asset.
