**About Us**:
Noremac Drillers Inc. is a leading provider of drill and blast services for the mining, construction, and infrastructure industries. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager/Estimator to join our dynamic team.
**Position Overview**:
As a Project Manager/Estimator, you will play a critical role in overseeing drill and blast projects from initial cost estimation through to successful project completion. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Your expertise in estimating, project coordination, and industry knowledge will help drive the success of our projects.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Project Estimation**: Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for drill and blast services, including labor, equipment, materials, and other project costs.
- **Project Management**: Oversee the execution of drill and blast projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
- **Client Liaison**: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong communication and relationships throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- **Scheduling & Coordination**: Develop and manage project schedules, coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery.
- **Cost Control**: Monitor project expenses and track costs against budget to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
- **Risk Management**: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure smooth project execution.
- **Safety Compliance**: Ensure all drill and blast activities are performed safely and in compliance with industry regulations and company safety protocols.
- **Reporting**: Provide regular updates on project status, progress, and any issues to senior management and clients.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project management and estimating
- Drill and blast, mining, or construction industry experience
**Education**:
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
**Skills**:
- Strong proficiency in estimating software (ie. Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of drill and blast techniques, equipment, and processes.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, project specifications, and contract documents.
**Certifications**:
- Relevant safety and construction management certifications (e.g., First Aid, WHMIS, etc.) would be an asset.
**Communication**:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
**Work Environment**:
- Willingness to work on-site as required, including at construction sites where the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) will be necessary.
**Salary**:
- Commensurate with experience
