**Role description**:
Arcadis is seeking a Transportation Operations & Safety Analyst with 0-3 years experience to join our transportation impact study team. The focus of our team is providing transportation consulting services in support of land development and redevelopment across Ontario, and assisting our architects and urban planners in realizing our clients’ vision.

As a Transportation Operations & Safety Analyst in our growing Mobility Advisory team, typical projects and tasks will include:

- Transportation impact studies and related analysis for residential, commercial, and employment developments across Ontario
- Traffic operations review / capacity analysis, parking demand reviews, travel demand management, and road user safety studies
- Roadway planning and design studies, assessments for existing transportation facilities and planned improvements
- Project coordination between other design disciplines
- Prepare technical reports and documentation related to current or prospective projects
- Serve in a client-facing role, prepare for and attend meetings, prepare summaries.

**Role accountabilities**:

- Delivering high quality on all technical deliverables
- Using professional judgment to identify and resolve technical problems.
- Contributing to client and project success by focusing on improving quality of life and putting sustainability at the core of all you do
- Regular coordination with project managers and team members to align project goals, project progress, and deliverables
- Attending internal and external multidisciplinary project team meetings, site visits, and other meetings, as required
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in civil engineering
- Eligible for professional designation / certification by PEO, OPPI, or OACETT
- 0-3 years experience
- Strong working knowledge of Ontario Traffic Manual, Highway Capacity Manual, Syncrho, and other recognized transportation standards and reference materials
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, AutoTURN, VISSIM
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with a commitment to excellence and high-quality work
- Able to manage effort on multiple simultaneous projects in an environment with firm deadlines
- Ability to regularly attend site visits and client meetings in person in the Greater Toronto Area

The salary range for this position is $56,000-$84,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
