Zymeworks is seeking a highly-motivated professional who is looking to grow their career with our company. The Investor Relations Analyst will be involved in multiple Investor Relations (IR) and communications activities. They develop or seek to develop a deep and strategic understanding of Zymeworks’ business, industry, and competitors, and work directly with senior executives and Wall Street analysts. The IR Analyst enables the team to scale Zymeworks activities, reach more investors, and increase the productivity of our management and C-suite executives. As a small team, the IR Analyst will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group internally across a growing biotech company and grow as the role and company expand.

This position will report to the Associate Director, Investor Relations and can be based in Vancouver, BC or Seattle, WA.

Zymeworks is proudly headquartered in our brand new, net-zero facility located in the vibrant Main St biotech hub of Vancouver, BC, with operations in Seattle, WA and Dublin, Ireland. We offer a hybrid work environment with most team members working in-office three days per week.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborates with peers and competitors to generate competitive intelligence for IR and C Suite
- Assists in the quarterly earnings process including overall messaging development, data collection and generation, scripts, Q&A, and conference call
- Generates investor relations reports and helps build out earnings infrastructure as the company moves towards potential commerciality
- Maintains competitive peer analysis, including the development of industry and peer company performance benchmarks.
- Prepares IR and Executives to meet investors with appropriate materials and context
- Plans and assists with investor meeting logistics and other corporate access events.
- Develops strategies and implement programs to keep the financial community current on company performance and industry trends.
- Manages sell-side analyst models and monitor consensus vs. our forecast.
- Tracks investor base and aid in targeting efforts to appropriate investors, to expand and maintain key ownership positions.
- Tracks and develops annual IR and communications budget materials

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; advanced degree is preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, equity research, corporate development, investor relations or similar field.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

**Skills and Abilities**
- High level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy
- High proficiency in Microsoft office, with emphasis on powerpoint and excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with external parties
- Strong analytical skills with experience and fluency in creating financial models and performing financial analysis
- Highly collaborative orientation, identifying, consulting, and partnering with others internally and externally to meet department, division, and company objectives.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive, problem-solving approach. An ability to function professionally and pleasantly during periods of high stress.
- A willingness to take initiative and the ability to make thoughtful and timely decisions.
- Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team. Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and SharePoint, including strong experience and familiarity with Outlook. Experience with Mac operating systems an asset.
