Repair Planner Estimator

The Vehicle Damage Estimator / Repair Planner will be responsible for handling minor to moderate vehicle damage appraisals, using photos, documentation, and various estimating resources. They will be working with various approved insurance companies, private estimates for customers, total losses, and administrative tasks with the senior estimating staff.
**Major areas of responsibility**:
- Completing minor damage appraisals for submission, review, and approval by insurance partners
- Importing estimates to Nexsyis, ordering parts, and processing work orders in a timely fashion
- Work with front office staff to provide accurate preliminary estimates, detailed written estimates (when required), and repair information or explanations to customers, to understand the scope of work requested
- Assist the Shop manager with administrative tasks such as minor supplement requests, invoicing, estimating, or any other administrative items requiring assistance
- Submit supplement requests to insurance for approval, following required guidelines and using providing all necessary documentation and communications
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with insurance appraisers and adjusters
- Handles customer concerns immediately and accordingly to shop procedures
**Qualifications**:
- Ideally possesses 1-2 years direct experience with either appraising vehicle damages or working within an imaging desk role
- Possess technical knowledge of auto body collision and mechanical repairs
- 1-2 years of knowledge of Mitchell and Audatex electronic imaging/estimating system
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to provide superior customer service
