Tasting Room Manager and Wine Club Coordinator

**About Us**:
Maan Farms Estate Winery is a 3rd generation farm and 2nd generation winery specializing in producing Canada's Best Fruit Wine made from the fruit grown on our farm. Located in Abbotsford, BC, we have achieved significant growth over the past five years and are now seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to join our team and drive our next phase of growth.

**Job Summary**:
As the Tasting Room Manager & Wine Club Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the tasting room while also focusing on the growth and retention of our wine club. You will ensure that each guest has a memorable experience, whether visiting for a tasting or engaging with our wine club community. This role requires a balance of front-of-house hospitality expertise and back-of-house organizational skills, with a strong emphasis on customer engagement, sales, and event planning.

**Key Responsibilities: Tasting Room Operations (Front of House)**:

- Serve as the primary host for all tasting room guests, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
- Lead wine tastings, providing detailed product knowledge and sharing the story of our wines and winery.
- Manage tasting room staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Create and maintain a warm, welcoming, and informative environment for visitors.
- Handle retail wine sales, upselling wine and merchandise to maximize revenue.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, patio, and surrounding areas.
- Manage daily opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and inventory control.

**Back of House Operations**:

- Oversee inventory management, ensuring stock levels are optimized for the tasting room and special events.
- Coordinate with management to implement marketing initiatives
- Coordinate with the production team to manage wine allocation and availability for tastings and sales.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including alcohol service guidelines.
- Track and report key performance metrics, such as sales targets and customer feedback.

**Wine Club Management & Growth**:

- Serve as the main point of contact for wine club members, delivering exceptional customer service.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow wine club memberships, both online and in-person.
- Plan and execute exclusive wine club events, both on-site and virtually.
- Oversee wine club order processing, shipping logistics, and inventory for club allocations.
- Work closely with marketing to create promotions and campaigns to retain and attract members.

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years of experience in hospitality, sales, or wine industry roles (tasting room experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of wine, with a genuine passion for sharing that knowledge with others.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and CRM tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification in wine education (WSET, Sommelier, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Experience in event planning and coordination.
- Familiarity with wine club management and marketing.
