**Job Summary**:
Crania Schools is known for its high-quality educational programs in Math, English, Coding, and Robotics, and its customer-focused service model. We are a responsible employer in the local region that gives back to its local and global community in a variety of ways. With two locations conveniently situated in Kitchener-Waterloo near public transit, we are looking for summer students to assist with the instruction of programs, camps, curriculum development and IT support.

**Responsibilities**:

- _Teaching Math, Coding, and/or Robotics both in-person and/or virtually as required._
- _Teaching Summer Camps._
- _Interacting with students and parents regularly._
- _Reviewing background material in advance of each class._
- _Maintaining student records, including student performance and attendance._
- _Marking student assignments._
- _Developing curricula and creating educational materials._
- _Developing and maintaining IT and enterprise software._
- _Coding back-end enterprise software as needed._
- _Maintaining cleanliness and order in the center._
- _Ensuring classroom supplies are stocked, and technical equipment is functioning and charged at the end of each class and prior to each class._
- _Assisting with marketing efforts including going door-to-door and approaching potential customers._
- _Opening and closing center as needed._
- _Other duties as requested by the Director and his/her delegate._
- This role will allow you to stay in touch with your academics while gaining meaningful experience in a friendly, customer-service-oriented business setting. You will have a number of learning opportunities with state-of-the-art tools and industry software._

**Required**:

- _Strong background in Mathematics, English, and Coding/Robotics._
- _Strong Coding skills in at least one of JavaScript, Python, C/C#/C++._
- _STEM skills and knowledge._
- _Strong IT skills._
- _Demonstrated teaching ability and passion, or alternatively, a willingness to learn._
- _Punctuality, reliability, and dependability._
- _Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with the Director, parents, students, and other employees of Crania Schools._
- _Good communication skills, both oral and written._
- _Ability to accurately follow directions from the Director and his/her delegate._
- _Ability to maintain confidentiality and to be worthy of the trust required to teach students under the age of 18 at Crania Schools._
- _Quick learner with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively._
- _Creative, innovative, and willing to contribute ideas._

**Nice-to-have**:

- _Teaching Experience_
- _Coding experience in HTML/CSS and/or JavaScript_
- _IB Diploma / AP_

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
