The Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for designing and bidding projects, ensuring they are on time and within budget. Drainage experience important.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations
- Design systemic tile systems
- Bid/quote on projects
- Review projects with Project Management Team and Foreman, including Pre-construction meetings
- Prepare Foreman’s binder for project
- Supporting Foremen in meeting production deadlines
- Ensure projects comply with regulations: MOL, MOE, OHTA, OHSA, and DA

Financial
- Develop budgets for projects for projects
- Provide job costing reports when projects are complete
- Calculate and submit extras
- Issue payment certificates/invoices, and review final payment certificates
- Approve vendor and subcontractor invoices
- Review invoices including extras and deficiencies to contract. Address deficiency list with foremen's.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology is an asset
- Completion of a Project Management course is an asset
- Drainage experience an asset

Knowledge & Experience
- 5 plus years of industry related experience
- Work with customer to clarify project parameters, retrieve outstanding information and resolve any conflicting project issues; details, pricing, schedule, required documentation
- Proficient in MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and design software, such as Civil 3D
- Knowledge of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act and the Ontario Health and Safety Act and Farm Drainage Act
- Knowledge of municipality specifications under Ontario Provincial Standards Act.
- Ability to read contracts and find special provisions and specifications.
- Ability to read blueprints
- Outstanding interpersonal, time management, problem solving and communication and organizational skills
