The Quality Assurance Compliance Supervisor provides leadership related to directing and supervising the Quality Assurance Compliance group. This position focuses on the regulatory operations side of quality assurance to include certification audit policies and implementation, corrective actions, supplier/ingredient approval, and customer complaints. The Quality Assurance Compliance Supervisor provides leadership in identifying and implementing product and process quality improvement opportunities and resultant productivity gains. The Quality Assurance Compliance Supervisor also advises on changes in the quality procedures and systems, implements new systems where necessary and provides training, tools, and techniques to enable others to achieve quality targets and goals.

**Responsibilities**:
- Supervise the Quality Assurance Compliance group to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality programs such as: environmental program, pest control, CAPA program, etc.- Help manage audits - particularly certification audits: Kosher, organic, Gluten Free, NSF Sport, etc.- Develop and maintain assigned quality related programs to ensure the facility maintains 3rd party and customer audits and complies with the corporate Quality Expectations Manual (QEM).- Lead resolution of assigned customer complaints, including investigation, root cause analysis, corrective action, and timely written response to customer.- Oversee the certification submissions program to ensure all products are properly being managed under the designated certifying bodies.- Act as final reviewer/approver for supplier and ingredient approval program; using a risk analysis approach and based off information and documents received, determine whether approval or denial is appropriate. Utilize Quality Assurance Manager assistance as needed.- Manage and maintain Supplier Quality and Regulatory documentation in the computer system.- Compile information and submit Quality Incident Reports (QIRs) when facility issues result in supplier complaints.- Improve Agropur’s Quality and Food Safety programs through continuous evaluation of/with Supplier(s).- Act as Quality Assurance Manager back-up for all compliance related items in the event of an absence.- Stay current with quality and regulatory requirements.- Act as primary SQF practitioner in the event the Quality Assurance Manager is absent or when all other SQF practitioners are absent.- Direct implementation of departmental objectives, goals and policies.- Regular contact with almost all employees, customers, auditors, vendors, and certifying agencies to obtain and provide information.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or other Science related field required. Equivalent combination of education and/or experienced may be considered.- two (2) years to three (3) years of experience in Quality at a Food Manufacturing business required.- Minimum of experience in a food processing plant performing Quality Vendor Audits with risk assessment and mitigation preferred.- HACCP certification, SQF Practitioner certification required, PCQI certification (Asset)
