Vedika Foods is a growing Indian grocery store in Kitchener, offering a diverse range of South Asian groceries, fresh meat from our butcher shop, and delicious takeaway meals. We are seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee the entire store operation, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and an outstanding customer experience.

**Your Responsibilities**:
Operations & Store Management:

- Oversee overall operations, including the grocery store, butcher shop, and takeaway restaurant.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of all departments.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards across all areas.
- Handle customer complaints and escalations, ensuring timely resolution.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor daily sales and prepare financial reports.
- Supervise and schedule employees to maintain adequate staffing.
- Manage payroll and resolve employee issues professionally.
- Implement marketing strategies, promotions, and in-store events.
- Analyze customer feedback and adjust strategies to improve service.

**Leadership & Team Development**:

- Lead and train employees, ensuring high performance.
- Monitor employee performance and identify training needs.
- Conduct team meetings to discuss targets and operational improvements.
- Set up promotions, discounts, or loyalty programs to increase sales.
- Negotiate contracts with new vendors for better pricing or exclusive products.
- Keep track of market trends to introduce high-demand or seasonal products.
- Oversee equipment and facility maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with local community groups for promotional events or partnerships.

**What You Bring**:
✔ Experience: 1-2 years in a retail management role (grocery store experience preferred).

✔ Knowledge: Familiarity with Indian grocery products, fresh meat, and restaurant operations.

✔ Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.

✔ Technical Proficiency: Experience with POS systems and financial reporting.

✔ Customer Service: Ability to handle customer concerns professionally.

✔ Availability: Flexible to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

✔ Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move products and stand for extended periods.
