J & K Poultry Ltd. was established in 1995 as a prominent wholesale distributor of poultry products. We serve Downtown hotels, restaurants, universities, and retailers across Vancouver, Richmond, Surrey, Whistler, and Kamloops in British Columbia. Our strategically central location near the downtown core allows us to fulfill our customers' requirements promptly and efficiently. We seek an **Opening Shift Operation Manager** to become a valuable team member. This is a full-time, permanent position.

**Duties**:
As a Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our establishment and ensuring exceptional customer service. Your role will involve managing staff, coordinating poultry preparation and service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Duties include but not limited to:
Working hours from **4 am to 1 pm**

Set up and prepare meat-cutting machines and relevant equipment
Collect and set up poultry orders for meat processing orders
Supervise and support order preparation to other meat processing center workers
Coordinate with truckers and meat processing center and make sure orders are prepared and set off for the day

Train, supervise and support meat processing center workers on their following duties:

- Prepare poultry orders such as unfreezing, cutting, bone removal, packaging, and boxing with other meat processing workers
- Skin, clean, cut, pre-trimming/final trim poultry
- Split poultry into smaller portions for further cutting, processing and packaging
- Remove bones from poultry
- Operate meat processing machines such as grind line equipment, sausage stuffer, power cutting tools, commercial knives, saws,
- Operate band saw, skinner operator, dryer/overwrapper
- Package poultry orders with accurate items and labels attached

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in the operation routine in poultry or seafood industry in a managerial role
- Previous experience using commercial knives and other meat processing center machines
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment in a typical meat processing center
- Able to coordinate and communicate effectively with meat processing workers and truckers

Salary Expectation : $65,000/ year depending on experience.

- Secondary School (preferred)
