Custodian - Casual

**The Opportunity**:
We are currently recruiting for a casual Custodian for City Hall, Fire Hall and the Lacombe Memorial Centre (LMC). The key responsibilities include maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the facilities in accordance with established standards; performing set up and tear down for a variety of LMC events; regular and routine basic maintenance and other related duties as assigned. This position is primarily based at City Hall and the Fire Hall but may be scheduled to work at the LMC as needed. Additional duties include securing the buildings in accordance with existing policies and procedures, ensuring LMC walkways are clear of snow and debris and a variety of other tasks.

**Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Abilities**:

- WHMIS;
- First Aid Certification preferred;
- Previous experience in a custodial/janitorial environment is desirable;
- Ability to represent the City and the Department in a professional manner;
- Ability to work in various weather conditions as required;
- Ability to work a variety of hours including evenings and weekends;
- Ability to maintain the established standards of cleanliness;
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the role;
- Ability to work alone and with mínimal supervision;
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, facility users and members the public.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers license preferred

**Wage Range**:$17.25 - $21.42 per hour (dependent upon experience).
