- Provide community education on Parks and Open Spaces amenities, services, and programs.
- Seek feedback to identify barriers to accessing park amenities, services, and programs for equity-deserving groups, and make recommendations (based on community feedback and research on what is happening in other cities) to address said barriers.
**Qualifications**
- Enrolled in a diploma or degree program in Social Work, Policy Studies, Urban Studies, Community Development or a related program.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (or provincial equivalent) with no more than six demerits.
- A valid class 5 Driver's Licence (or provincial equivalent) and the use of personal vehicle.
- An understanding of anti-racist practice, intersectionality, and a high degree of customer focus are essential.
- Ability to speak multiple language(s) and previous volunteer experience in community development is considered an asset.
- Success in this position requires excellent communication and engagement skills.
**Pre-Employment Requirements**
- Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2025.
- A security clearance with vulnerable sector search will be conducted.
- If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).

Compensation: $28.88 per hour (2025 Rates)
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
- work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
