**Job Overview**
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented administrative professional to join our team.

Established in 2022, FNEA is an independent regulatory body that assists First Nations in BC that have assumed jurisdiction, or law-making authority, over their K-12 education systems on their land pursuant to education jurisdiction agreements. FNEA is led by a board of directors appointed by Participating First Nations (PFNs). FNEA exercises jurisdiction over education matters delegated to it by PFNs, which include teacher certification, school certification, graduation certificates, and approval of courses required for graduation. FNEA works in close partnership with the First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC), the First Nations Schools Association (FNSA), the BC Ministry of Education and Child Care, Canada, and other partners to support PFNs and the implementation of First Nations education jurisdiction.

This position would be ideal for an organized and detail-oriented administrative professional who wants to do purposeful work, be part of a team, and contribute to First Nations education. FNEA is a growing organization and this position offers opportunity for advancement.

**Duties**
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, Managers, and to the communications, finance, and other program teams.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and Adobe for various administrative tasks, including document preparation, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring all information is up to date and organized.
- Update and maintain filing systems, both electronic and paper-based, ensuring easy access to important documents.
- Provide meeting and event support, including taking and following up on meeting minutes and to assist with the workflows for these events. To participate in working group teams which will assist in the facilitation of these events and to undertake any associated duties as required.
- Provide administrative support for the development and circulation of internal and external FNEA materials.
- Ensure appropriate representation of FNEA in relevant outreach activities and opportunities.
- Greet and assist visitors in a friendly and professional manner at the front desk.
- Provide clerical support such as typing, proofreading documents, and preparing correspondence.
- Support service and partnership efforts by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth office operations while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Maintain kitchen and office supplies.

**Requirements**:

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Acrobat.
- Minimum 3 years administrative experience.
- College diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience with a strong administrative skill set.
- A level of understanding of and respect for First Nations and their distinct and unique histories and cultures in BC.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and proofreading.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good judgement, dependability, and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Experience with clerical duties such as filing, managing correspondence, and maintaining records.
- All FNEA employees ae required to be vaccinated for Covid-19 (minimum of two shots) and proof of vaccination upon hire, unless approved for an accommodation.

**We Offer**:

- The salary for this position is $50,000 - $55,000 per year.

- This is a full-time (35 hours per week) in-person position based at the FNEA office in West Vancouver. Regular office hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm with one hour for lunch. Some occasional weekend or evening week may be required.
