**About You**
- Thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment that challenges minds and inspires brilliance.
- Have a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant business and/or consulting experience (internal or external consulting).
- Hold a post-secondary degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Human Relations, Research, or a related discipline, with a strong preference to advanced degrees such as MBAs.
- Have obtained certifications such as the Balance Scorecard Professional, Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Project Management (PMP), Prosci Change Management, or IAP2 would be considered an asset.
- Be comfortable with regular short-stay travel.
- Have a passion for learning, digging in, solving problems, and bringing innovative ideas forward.
- Have a clear ability to contribute critical strategic thinking and analytical skills to various business sectors.

**About the Job**
The Director, Research reports directly to the CEO and is accountable for the following:
Business Development
You will provide support to the leadership and executive team in initiating new ideas and concepts to the organization’s business, while maintaining strong client relationships and helping to develop and grow the Research Service Line. You will lead business development, proposal writing, and foster business relationships to earn work for the firm, with mentorship and support from your immediate leader and other Senior Directors.
Project Delivery
You will lead a team that is tasked with delivering the contracted mandate for research and other assigned projects. Over the course of each project, you provide guidance to the team that will gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations. You will present results to clients and implement recommendations in collaboration with clients. You will serve on multiple client engagements and work with several colleagues and clients in a range of industry and functional areas at any one time.
Project Management
You will be responsible for all aspects of the research projects’ lifecycle. You will either serve as or delegate a project manager when undertaking client research projects. The project manager plays a key role in client relationship management, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects.

**Education & Qualifications**
- A minimum of 8-10 years of market research experience.
- Ability to inform custom research methodology, lead market research project teams, design market research surveys, and develop insightful and actionable reports.
- Familiar with the fundamentals of analytics, weighting, sampling, and SPSS.
- Excellent networking, communication and writing skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects, critical thinking skills, and entrepreneurial mindset and an orientation to service and client relationship management.
- Experience across various research categories (e.g. customer satisfaction, employee engagement, brand perception, etc.).
- Travel required.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead multiple research proposals and projects to win, retain, and expand Praxis’ research service line.
- Execute custom and creative research design, analysis, and reporting.
- Develop strong and meaningful relationships with clients by identifying their objectives and recommending innovative and appropriate strategies to meet those objectives.
- Maintain and promote the Praxis Omnibus, Engagement Hub, and Indigenous Panel.
- Mentor and coach the team, developing and growing their skills in market research techniques and methodologies.
