**Production Planner - 9 month contract**

**Location: 24 Napoleon Road, Barrie (hybrid)**

Reporting to the Production Control Manager the Production Planner is responsible to ensure work for Manufacturing departments is appropriately distributed and to address part planning issues.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Firm and release work orders, performing material availability checks
- Review early/late reports to ensure all open work orders are accurate and current
- Monitor capacity requirements
- Communicate daily with Sales, Production Planners, Senior Planners, Team Leaders, Supervisors,
- Manufacturing Managers and Purchasing regarding parts issues and priorities
- Request overtime, part production transfers to other facilities or outsourcing as needed to manage bottlenecks
- Maintain planning information in Visual Manufacturing
- Maintain resource calendars in Visual Manufacturing using Shop Resource Maintenance
- Coordinate down time recovery plans
- Monitor production part inventories and make adjustments accordingly. Perform root cause analysis accordingly and finding solutions for reoccurring parts opportunities

**Education and Experience**:

- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a Production Planning role
- CPIM - Certified in Production and Inventory Management designation or working towards is considered an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook
- MRP - Material Requirements Planning, Visual Manufacturing and Crystal Reports software is considered an asset
