**Specific Accountabilities**:

- Preparing lesson plans and providing instruction using a variety of teaching techniques and current technologies that enhance student success;
- Delivering courses in accordance with curriculum standards;
- Preparing, administering, and grading assignments, quizzes, and examinations in a timely manner;
- Monitoring student performance, maintaining progress reports and encouraging their success;
- Consulting with colleagues as required;
- Follow the Academic Calendar and other policies and procedures.

**About the Position**:
**Qualifications**:

- Background as a Chemist
- Ability to teach fundamental principles including (but not limited to) atomic structure, and stoichiometry and gas laws, organic chemistry, kinetics, and electrochemistry
- Proficient in execution of laboratory techniques which demonstrate physicochemical processes
- Experience and training in safe work procedures for chemical laboratories
- Teaching experience at the post-secondary level would be preferred
