**Position Summary**
We are looking for a Co-Manufacturing Quality Manager based at our North York Head Office reporting into the Senior Corporate Quality Manager. This role will be responsible for implementing strategy, standards, processes, and activities, to fulfil the quality requirements in the Contract Manufacturing Operations at Nestlé Canada.
**A day in the life of the Co-Manufacturing Quality Manager**:
**Ensure Consistency**:
- Continuously works with the project stakeholders to ensure proper quality requirements and on time implementation
- Supports the Idea to Launch processes
- Collaborates with operations to drive improvement in the manufacturing of products that consistently delivers consumer preference
- Build technical skills and capability in contract manufacturing factories to assure autonomy.
**Ensure Food Safety and Compliance**:
- Ensure adherence to all Nestlé Standards as well as local laws and regulations
- Ensure compliance to food safety and external requirements (national & international)
- Ensure food safety and compliance of the business processes
- Collaborate with key stakeholders from different functions to enforce and maintain the management System.
**Strive for Zero Defect & No Waste**:
- Conduct quality failures analysis and initiatives to eliminate defects and reduce complaints
- Promote sharing of best practices
- Liaise with stakeholders in different functions and business units to drive continuous improvement
- Track and Analyze Co-Man site audit requirements, FOB, and CC activities as well as prepare monthly completion status reports/ ad hoc reports
- Determine, highlight and escalate issues and risks as needed
- Assist in product recalls or withdrawals as necessary.
**You will also**:
- Implement continuous improvement programs of quality systems focused on what the consumer values (including; defects elimination and complaints reduction)
- Responsible for product quality and food safety of contract manufacturing sites
- Maintain the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products
- Audit and monitor the food safety and quality processes and outputs against defined internal and external standards
- Report and troubleshoot process deviations and defects along the value chain
- Ensure development of people through coaching and training in specific technical disciplines and needs
**What will make you successful?**
- 7-10 years’ experience in food manufacturing, auditing, quality & food safety.
- University Degree in Food related field as Food Science, Food technology, Pharmacy and Biochemistry, Chemistry or Food Engineering.
- Expert in Quality Management System processes and procedures; Auditing and Hazard Analysis, Validation & Verification of PRP’s and Control Measures and HACCP plans.
- Strong demonstrated verbal / written communications, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be detailed and results oriented. Statistical analysis experience is preferred.
- Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with mínimal direct supervision and have strong demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and self-initiative skills.
- Have strong knowledge and understanding of food safety / HACCP, GMP’s, Allergen Controls, Sanitary design/controls, pest control, basic food regulations, specifications, and basic food technology.
- Must be able to quickly learn new food processing technologies and determine critical food safety aspects alone or through consultation with internal / external experts as appropriate.
- Project management skills preferred.
