**Access to Information and Disclosure Worker - Disclosure 1**
**(1) Temporary Full Time Opportunity - 18 months - English Position**
**The Position**:
The Access to Information and Disclosure Worker reports to the Access to Information and Disclosure Supervisor and responds to requests from former or current clients, community professionals and government sources for access to/ disclosure of society records.
The duties of the Access to Information and Disclosure Worker include:
- Researching, Redacting and Disclosing file information according to Part X of the CYFSA; Adoption Disclosure Legislation and Society Policy;
- Reviewing and providing comprehensive Summary of Involvement letters for Community Professional requests as indicated
- Providing interpretation guidance and counseling to former or current clients receiving their information;
- Providing pre-search information to the Federal/Provincial Government Ministry’s in order to facilitate a match between an adult adoptee and a member of their birth family or to confirm Indigenous status.
- Open, close, manage and monitor new referrals within CPIN
- Liaise with other departments or individuals regarding requests for Disclosure or Access to Information requests
- Communicate with referents or staff verbally or in writing, regarding Access to Information and Disclosure referrals or queries
**Hours of work**:
The Access to Information and Disclosure Worker may be expected to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends in order to meet the needs of individuals receiving services from the Society.
**Qualifications**:
- MSW, BSW, or bachelor's degree in a related field with relevant work experiene.
- 2 years direct experience working with families and children;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Thorough knowledge of the CYFSA; Eligibility Spectrum; Family Court Rules and Procedures; Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario Guides for Service Providers
- Demonstrated ability to work with various computer platforms such as CPIN, Adobe, MS Office, etc.;
- Demonstrated experience with direct client service work and counselling;
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the culture, history and current oppressions experienced by people
- related to gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation faced within the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

- Indigenous peoples and racialized communities.
- Applies anti-racist, anti-ableist, anti-colonialism, anti-heterosexism and anti-cissexism lenses to social problems.
- Experience in research and report writing;
- Superior administrative and organizational skills;
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Possession of a valid driver’s licence.
**Salary**: Commensurate with training and/or experience:
**CPW1 Annual Salary Range from $65,107.00 - $88,337.00
