**Job Description**:
Reporting to the Manager
- Financial Planning and Analysis, this position provides comprehensive expertise and analysis on the Hospital's case costing data to support operational and strategic decision making. The position will be responsible for completing the case costing submission with timely and accurate data while working to develop costing reports to support best clinical practice and efficient resource utilization.

**What is required**:

- This position plays a key role in the coordination and maintenance of RVH's financial and statistical reporting including case costing system.
- You will work closely with multiple teams and stakeholders to support MIS and internal reporting from both a technical and data collection-analysis perspective.
- Required to discover and design solutions for a broad array of data issues, from process optimizations to efficiency and quality of data.
- This role is focused on data quality, data collection and reporting to ensure compliance to the Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards and the Ontario Case Costing Guide
- Provide analytic support regarding the integration, analysis and interpretation of staffing, activity, capacity and financial data (e.g. cost per weighted case, hospital indicator tool, performance indicators etc.). This will also include responsibilities for reconciling and understanding differences between MIS and OCCI.
- Internal case costing policy development

**Education of Program Area Regarding OCCI Data (Peer & Internal)**
- Provide support and consultation for queries/requests related to costing (ie case costing, micro-costing, costing infrastructure).
- Working with Clinical programs to improve coding, audit results or any errors from OCCI Submissions
- Working with Program Financial Consultants and Clinical Programs to assist with Briefing note requests

**External Reporting and Communication**
- Review and assist the programs with statistical reporting for the LHIN, MOHLTC and other provincial agencies
- Communication with external clients regarding reporting results

**_Qualifications:_**

**Minimum qualifications**
- Completion of a university degree program (B.Comm, M.B.A. or equivalent) and/or professional designation program (CMA/CGA/CA). Or equivalent work experience
- 2 years of relevant work experience in a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Financial Analyst role or experience in financial planning/Financial data modeling and/or Case Costing

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of financial analysis experience in a healthcare organization
- Comfort and experience manipulating data into information/reports to help assist with financial decisions
- Experience working with Meditech or similar healthcare ERP
- Knowledge of CIHI-MIS Guidelines
- Independant learner and self-starter
