**Job Posting**:
Building Products is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a Quality Control Technician you will be responsible for concrete sampling and testing on customer job sites and at our various concrete plants.

We are proud to supply the Winnipeg and surrounding areas from concrete paving, industrial, commercial and residential sectors to independent homeowners.

**What You’ll Get To Do**:
Travel to different job sites and other plants and interact with site personnel and other testing labs

Sample and test raw source materials according to specification

Compression testing of concrete samples

Calibrate, clean, and maintain production tools and testing equipment

Troubleshoot concrete field issues

Conduct lab trial mixes for product development

Transport materials back to Lab for further testing

Record and report test results to management

Validate the proper components and materials used in testing

Build and maintain relationships with employees and customers

**What We Are Looking For**:
CET or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field is an asset

Valid drivers licence

Experience working with ready mix concrete or related construction materials

ACI/CCIL Concrete Field Testing Certificate is an asset

Knowledge of CSA standards related to ready mix concrete

Excel, computer proficiency, and Stonemont use is an asset

Ability to work safely and independently without constant supervision

Ability to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions

In good physical condition, able to lift and carry 50 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, and walk on uneven terrain

Must be able to work flexible schedule - overtime, weekends and nights may be required

**What we have to Offer**:
Wage rate scale for our Association: $ 23.71 to $ 32.71 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience

Benefits including comprehensive group insurance plan (health, dental and vision) and pension plan

Vacation time and pay increases with service, up to 5 weeks and 10% of gross earnings after 18 years of service.

Pay: $23.71-$32.71 per hour
