**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**:

- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems including network infrastructure, WAN connections, and telephone systems
- Operate bucket trucks for installations and repairs at elevated heights
- Utilize low voltage and electrical knowledge to troubleshoot issues
- Perform bucket operations for aerial installations
- Conduct telecommunication tasks such as wiring and cabling
- Operate Power Tools
- Climb ladders, work on roofs/at heights, and climb telecommunications towers as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in telecommunications or related field
- Proficiency in network infrastructure and WAN technologies
- Ability to operate bucket trucks for aerial work
- Knowledge of low voltage systems and electrical components
- Familiarity with telecommunication processes and equipment

We (NCS Managed Services Inc.) are looking for a telecommunications technician to join our local team (Cumberland/Colchester area).This job requires heights
- climbing on roofs, using ladders, and training on climbing towers (with all safety equipment and protocols of course). You must be physically fit. If you don't like heights
- you need not inquire
- there is no way around thisYou would be installing and servicing customer premise internet services
- wireless and fibre, work on our telecommunications towers, dealing with customers and network monitoring. Knowledge of internet services would be considered a big asset.The majority of the work is here in Central Nova Scotia but we do have several networks around the province
- but all same day trips
- returning home each evening.We would provide a company truck when working on your own, fuel card, benefit allowance, cell phone allowance and incentive bonuses.Initially you'd be on a probationary wage of $25/hr for 3 months and then I would roll you into a salaried position around $60000 per year. Statutory holiday pay on top of salary will also be paid.You would be considered an essential worker as a telecommunications worker
- meaning this may not always be a 8-5 Pm job
- if you start a job during the day you can't just leave it and a customer offline
- so your work hours can be varied
- but we do always recognize when extra hours are worked and try to give a long weekend in lieu of that. And there will be days that the weather is too bad to work in
- but you'll still get paid
- it seems to balance out. But we do require job share of emergency repairs that bring networks down outside regular business hours/days. We are FLEXIBLE for someone with the drive to work and learn.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.67-$27.86 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
