**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Administrative Support**:
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, tests, and procedures.
- Maintain and update patient records and charts accurately and promptly.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports and documents as required.
- Preparing laboratory requisitions and faxing to Life Labs.
- Entering patient information onto Physician billing statements.
- ** Patient Interaction**:
- Greet and assist patients.
- Provide information and directions to patients and staff.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations.
- ** Coordination and Communication**:
- Facilitate communication between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate the flow of information within the unit and with other departments.
- Relay messages and information to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- ** Inventory and Supplies**:
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of office and medical supplies.
- Order and restock supplies as needed.
- Ensure that equipment is in working order and arrange for repairs when necessary.
- Counting medications.
- ** Clerical Duties**:
- Perform general clerical tasks, including filing, photocopying, and faxing orders.
- Assist in preparing and organizing nurse meetings.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
**All other duties as assigned.**
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Proficiency in using office equipment and computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
