Framatome is seeking a Technical Specialist for our office in Pickering, Ontario.

**Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Provides technical support and advice in analyzing and evaluating routine plant or field systems, equipment and programs.
- Develops and recommends procedures and methods, and prepares technical reports and documentation.
- Provides resolution to routine technical or engineering-related problems.
- Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause and recommends corrective action.
- Evaluates, selects and applies technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making adaptations and modification.
- Plans and conducts moderate technical or engineering-related assignments.
- Review DBOMs during design phase to facilitate appropriate substitutions
- Review DBOMs during procurement phase for market availability
- Work with vendor to determine availability of equipment and/or obsolescence of equipment
- Review components in Maximo/AS9 and work with design group to ensure appropriate equipment is selected and/or are suitable for use
- Creation of PRDs and STRs
- Perform IEE
- PE Screening of ITEMs and CIDs
- Procurement Evaluations activities including but not limited to Evaluations, IEE, and CGD
- Ability to move around in OPG Asset Suite 9 and/or Bruce Power Maximo interface system
- Familiarity with Component Equivalency process in both utilities
- Knowledge of OPG Set to Ready process as well putting Purchase Receipt Documents together
- Understanding of Quality Assurance Programs and OPG/BP Quality requirements including specifications/clauses for documentation requirements prior to purchasing goods

**Required Skills**:
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree, plus a minimum of 4 years of related technical experience.
- 4 to 10 years knowledge of Nuclear Power Plant design and operation is preferred.
- Demonstrated purchasing and materials analyst/coordinator experience with extensive knowledge of Bruce Power system/OPG Catalog ID screening to ensure purchasability, installability, and receivability of components
- Experience in ensuring nuclear standards and compliance with authority are maintained in addition to interpreting system drawings, component technical specifications, and design bill of materials.
- Experience in finding replacement or substitute materials for submission to Purchasing via PassPort and/or Maximo.
