Operations Coordinator - Contrans Vrac

Position Title: Operations Coordinator (Entry Level)

Job Term: Full-Time (Monday - Friday), salaried position

**Responsibilities**:

- Schedule and coordinate drivers and equipment to appropriate locations according to our customer requests, specifications, or needs
- Ensure all drivers and owner operators are fully utilized and monitor their progress throughout the month to ensure we are meeting driver expectations
- Schedule the maintenance of trucks/trailers when needed at approved vendor locations
- Enter orders into our Time Management System (TMS) and confirm that proper information accompanies the order based on customer requirements
- Work closely with customer service to address customer questions or concerns in order to provide the service and satisfaction our customers require
- Receive driver’s paperwork and be sure it gets to the customer service/billing department in a timely manner
- Help assist in any compliance/regulatory duties as needed i.e. Mobilecom, preventative maintenance, and annual inspections
- Abide by Canada/U.S. transportation regulations on a provincial/state, and federal level
- Communicate effectively with drivers, co-workers, and customers and adhere to the company’s communication policy
- Adhere to safety policy by working in a safe and professional manner, and ensure our drivers and owner operators are following safety procedures at all times
- Other duties as required

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

- Experience in operations/logistics is considered an asset, but this is an entry level job suitable for a recent graduate and therefore does not require significant experience
- Pursuance or completion of a post-secondary education (Bachelors Degree or Diploma) in business or operations/logistics
- Intermediate experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with coworkers daily
- Strong customer-service skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Organization skills
