The Southridge Shelter is a 55 bed co-ed housing focused shelter striving to provide service with excellence and dignity while meeting the practical needs of an individual experiencing homelessness. The Shelter operates 24/7.

This position is a permanent position with a flexible schedule including days, afternoons and overnights. We are hiring 2 positions, so schedule will vary. This position is always double-staffed, at a minimum. Expectations of this role are listed below:

- Completes safety and security measures throughout the shift as indicated by policy manual.
- Provides understanding of Harm Reduction and Trauma-Informed practices.
- Provides appropriate understanding and intervention in response to emotional, behavioural, physical needs of clients.
- Maintains established routines and procedures.
- Takes initiative to respond to situations.
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality regarding client information.
- Exercises good judgment and discretion in dealing with clients
- Completes all necessary documentation, including written records/reports; familiarity with HIFIS is an asset.
- Learn and understand health and safety standards, regulations, policies and procedures and comply with them.
- Ability to lift 35lbs as required by occasional tasks

Experience with working in social services is required. Standard CPR- First Aid is a requirement upon hiring.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.35-$24.35 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
