Anglofone Security Services is a name synonymous with Retail Investigation Services. Our highly trained investigation team effectively reduces theft by shoplifters and pilfering by internal staff (shrinkage). We operate with our highly qualified plain clothes personnel as well as our skilled covert security team.

**Job description**

The Loss Prevention Agent protects the assets of a store against theft and works with the Leadership team to maintain operational controls to reduce shortage.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Monitor and patrol premises to detect and locate suspected shoplifters
- Safely recover assets and make apprehensions
- Identify issues of operational errors and policy violations
- Conduct routine audits and inspections
- Investigate and resolve various fraud and theft cases
- Assist in the development of policies and systems for safeguarding assets

**EXPECTED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- 1 year of asset protection/loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
- Satisfy and maintain all licensing requirements (as required by province or local jurisdiction).
- Previous experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or other related fields
- Familiarity with retail security equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
- A High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Availability to work flexible hours and Days, Including weekends is Essential

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**
Physical Requirements: Ability to do a routine walk within the store to detect shoplifters. Apprehend or Recover stolen items from suspects.

$18.00- $20.00 per hour

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Hamilton, ON L8K 1K2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
